From the Pastor’s Desk

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1

Dear MSBC Family,

There is so much to celebrate and praise God for here at Main Street Baptist Church! God is truly on the move in Point Pleasant, and our church is overflowing with His goodness, grace, and glory! Let’s take a moment to reflect on just how blessed we are:

The Lenten Season was a deeply meaningful journey. From Lenten Lunches to the powerful Life of Christ Easter Parade, we were blessed once again by our youth’s faithful portrayal of the Crucifixion Float, a moving community witness year after year. Good Friday was once again a powerful time of worship, while Easter Sunday began beautifully with a Sonrise Service led by Brother Jon Davis, followed by a delicious breakfast. Then our talented MSBC Worship Team lifted our hearts with a stunning Easter Cantata—praise God for resurrection joy! The sermon series “Journey to the Cross” was very well received and many people told me how it impacted their lives. To God alone be the Glory!

We recently celebrated five amazing graduates, what a joy it was to honor their hard work and faith-filled futures! We’re thrilled about our newly launched youth and children’s ministry, now moved to Sunday evenings in an effort to reach more families—God is already blessing this transition! And just last weekend, our youth group experienced the beauty of God’s creation with a trip to Hocking Hills State Park—what a fun and refreshing day of hiking, laughing, and soaking in the Lord’s handiwork.

Our Small Group continues to grow deeper in faith and fellowship, and our Wednesday evening Bible Study has been gaining momentum, drawing hearts and minds closer to the Word. And let’s talk about food and fellowship—our fellowship meals just keep getting better and bigger, bringing more people to the table (literally and spiritually)! We’ve also seen some wonderful improvements to our church building, including the remodeling of our changing rooms and the refreshed 11th Street entryway. Thank you to all who made that possible!

But friends, we’re not done yet—look at what’s coming up!

We are so excited to welcome former associate pastor and longtime missionary John Fulks for a special visit. Don’t miss this time to reconnect and be encouraged. Our town’s annual “Praise Along the River” is coming soon—what a blessing to worship publicly with other believers!

We’re gearing up to launch our Drive-Thru Prayer ministry—what a creative way to reach our

community in the name of Jesus. And don’t miss our next themed fellowship meal: Everything Mexican!      Come hungry and ready for fellowship. Mark your calendars for VBS 2025: “Glow for Jesus – Let Your Light Shine!” It’s going to be a week packed with gospel

light, laughter, and lots of glowing surprises for our children. The annual Union Camp Meeting

is just around the corner, with special music and preaching nightly. Our worship leader Anna Maria Butler will be singing on Wednesday night, and Pastor Jeff (yours truly) will be bringing the Word on Thursday night! Don’t forget our church cookout at Krodel Park, a wonderful time for fun, food, and fellowship. And all the amazing camps at Cowen are in full swing! I’ll be at- tending both Family Camp and Men’s Camp and can’t wait to share what God does there.

We’ve got more fun on the horizon with Family Movie Night, the county fair, and the Ministeri- al Association’s Combined Church Service at the riverfront—what a testimony of unity in Christ!

Please keep a close eye on the calendar so you don’t miss a single opportunity to grow, serve, and celebrate together.

As we reflect on all these blessings and prepare for more, let us never forget that it’s all because of the goodness and faithfulness of our God. As Psalm 107:1 reminds us:

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”

We are overflowing with gratitude—and we’re just getting started! Let’s keep pressing forward, shining the light of Jesus, and leaving a legacy of faith for the next generation.

With joyful expectation,
Pastor Jeffery S. Fetty
